Windhoek High Court issues an order in nbc, Editors' Forum case

The Windhoek High Court has issued an order in the case involving the Namibia Broadcasting Corporation (nbc) and the Editors' Forum of Namibia (EFN).

The court declared that decisions made by the Editors' Forum and its associated bodies are subject to public scrutiny and review.

The nbc accused the respondents of administrative violations, asserting that they continued to make significant decisions in a particular matter.

Government communication officers move to full implementation as gatekeepers

Following the recent signing of the Access to Information Act by President Hage Geingob, government communication officers are convening a week-long meeting towards moving to full implementation, as gatekeepers of their respective ministries and institutions.

The workshop was officially opened by Information and Communication Technology Minister, Peya Mushelenga.

Dr Mushelenga noted that the Access to Information Act is an achievement signifying Government's commitment to democracy and transparency in management and information dissemination.

Applications for Miss Namibia and Miss Teen Namibia open

The activation event was held at Maerua Mall in the capital.

Those wishing to follow in the footsteps of current title holders Cassia Sharpley and Zoe Karsten are urged to download an application form on www.nbc.na for both Miss Namibia and Miss Teen Namibia or visit the Namibia Broadcasting Corporation's TV and Radio headquarters.
