Otjinene Village Council to electrify 47 houses

The Otjinene Village Council, in collaboration with Cenored, is set to electrify 47 houses constructed under the Shack Dwellers Federation programme. 

The first phase of electrification has a budget of N$1.2 million. 

The Chairperson of the Otjinene Village Council, Lesley Kauandara, emphasised that this exercise is long overdue due to financial constraints. 

But now, with assistance from Cenored, this much-needed service is being extended to Shack dwellers.

Otjinene Expo fundraising gala dinner raises over N$130,000

A galaxy fundraising dinner raised more than N$130,000 for the upcoming Otjinene Expo, scheduled to take place between the 24th and 30th of April. 

The expo began seven years ago with the aim to boost the local economy, provide a platform for small and medium enterprises to market their products and services, and generally enhance business opportunities, as chairperson of the Otjinene Village Council, Sylvester Kavota, explains.

"The Otjinene Expo is to enhance business activities, for the development of entrepreneurs."
