Colonel Eloby Amundaba remeberered

President Hage Geingob has urged Namibians to adopt the patriotism and loyalty sustained by Dr. Eloby Amundaba during the arduous and challenging years of the Namibian liberation struggle.

The President said this in his message of condolences delivered on his behalf at the memorial services of the late Dr. Amundaba.

The late Colonel Eloby Amundaba was buried at Eenhana Memorial Shrine in the Ohangwena Region.

Amundaba was born in Omutemo Village, in the Endola constituency, 81 years ago.

Roads Authority line-up of projects for financial year

The Roads Authority (RA) has a line-up of projects this financial year in the northern regions, while some have already been completed.

In the Ohangwena Region, the RA has completed the construction of the Oupili-Onamafila to Onalusheshete gravel road, and they will soon start with Omukukutu to Omboloka, Omboloka to Omundaungilo, and Oshuuli to Omulondo.

Elizabeth Joseph seeks medical assistance

A 44-year-old resident of Oipapakane Village, Elizabeth Joseph, is seeking urgent medical assistance following a snake bite that resulted in the loss of two of her limbs—an arm and a leg.

Despite receiving medical treatment and being in and out of the hospital, her condition has not shown any signs of improvement.

In 2015, Joseph reportedly suffered a snake bite while working at a plastic and paper recycling company in Omafo, in the Ohangwena Region.

She was immediately rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.

Paulus Dumeni buried

A veteran of the liberation struggle, Paulus Dumeni, was buried at the Eenhana Omafo cemetery in Ohangwena Region.

He was conferred an official funeral by President Geingob, who described him as a compassionate person and a useful man of purpose.

Dumeni was born in 1946 and died on May 8, 2023, at Engela district hospital in the Ohangwena Region.

The late Dumeni began his revolutionary activities at a young age when he joined the Swapo Party in 1960.
