RA called to upgrade roads of national interest

The Governor of the Otjozondjupa Region has appealed to the Roads Authority (RA) to consider upgrading several roads in the region to full bitumen standard.

James Uerikua said the upgrades are needed as the roads are of national interest.

Health Ministry praises contractor for early completion of Ombili clinic

The Ministry of Health and Social Services (MoHSS) has commended the contractor for the Ombili clinic in Otjiwarongo, which was completed two months ahead of time.

The construction of the Ombili clinic began in April this year and was due to be completed in November.

Schools urged to utilise funds for intended purposes

The Deputy Minister of Education, Arts, and Culture, Faustina Caley, has called on schools to utilise their funds for the intended purposes.

Caley spoke at the Otjozondjupa Regional Education Directorate's state of education consultative meeting at Otjiwarongo.

Government schools that have been damaged by wind and rain storms in the Otjozondjupa Region will be renovated during this financial year.

This was revealed by the region's governor, James Uerikua, during the State of the Region Address.
