The Erongo Region has reported a 5% increase in crime over the past two years.

5,070 cases were reported last year in comparison to 5,332 reported this year between the period of January and July.

Government schools that have been damaged by wind and rain storms in the Otjozondjupa Region will be renovated during this financial year.

This was revealed by the region's governor, James Uerikua, during the State of the Region Address.

In his State of the Region Address at Opuwo, Kunene Governor Marius Sheya highlighted infrastructure development as a key component in stimulating prosperity, promoting economic inclusion, and creating job opportunities.

The Kavango East Region still calls for school infrastructure development despite progress recorded to improve teaching and learning. 

This was brought to light by the Governor of Kavango East, Bonifatius Wakudumo, during the State of the Region Address at Rundu. 

It is evident that the government's social programmes are making an impact in the lives of many Namibians, of whom some could have otherwise been worse off without them.

The Omaheke Region is endowed with resources to grow, produce, and feed its own people and beyond.

In his 4th State of the Region Address, the region's governor urged the inhabitants to strive for prosperity, embark on innovative ways, and enter into partnerships to ensure self-sustainability.

The Governor of Kunene Region has implored all councils, business people, communities, and youth to participate in the opportunities and value chains being created by the new economic drivers.
