Education evolve in the Kavango Region since before independence

Education is often referred to as the key to a successful future, and it is compulsory for a Namibian child.

Before independence, it was an achievement in the Kavango Region for one to produce good results. Schools in the Kavango Region were constructed based on traditional jurisdictions.

Each of the schools had a hostel to accommodate the learners, while the curriculum had four terms, and some learners would only return home after the fourth term.

On the western side of Kavango, there was Katjimi Murangi School, which was established in 1976.

Omega 3 residents express intent to join Kavango

Residents of Omega 3 in the Zambezi Region have expressed their intention to apply to become part of the Kavango Region.

This decision stems from their dissatisfaction with the local leadership's alleged failure to address the community's development needs.

During the demonstration, community members highlighted years of neglect and a lack of essential services, despite repeated complaints to regional authorities.

People with disabilities face numerous challenges, ranging from access to identity documents and disability grants to inclusion in youth development programmes and access to education and justice.
