Leaders, family, and friends of the late Sagarias Komeheke have described him as a friend to all, someone who was passionate about and always dedicated towards his work, and a top-class informer.

Komeheke, who was a nbc freelancer working at Omurari Radio in Gobabis, died on April 25th, aged 52.

Speaker after speaker said Komeheke placed the Omaheke Region on the map through his hard work and unwavering commitment.

Police in the Omaheke Region have recorded more cases of housebreaking during the festive season, with zero fatalities reported on public roads due to accidents.

This was shared by the Police Regional Unit Commander for Community Affairs, Inspector Fina Sakayengenga, who said that the police have registered more cases of housebreaking during the festive period in town localities compared to other neighbourhoods in Gobabis.

The Education Inspector in the Omaheke Region, Eliakim Kavari, says the region's poor examination results and poor performance in national rankings are serious concerns.

The new curriculum also came with its own challenges, particularly in terms of the amount of work given to learners versus the time frame and career guidance, among others.

Kavari shared this during a stakeholder engagement with the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education, Science, Information Communication Technology, and Youth Development at Gobabis.
