President calls for open talk on rising suicides in Namibia

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has urged Namibians to speak openly about the rising number of suicides in the country.

The President's appeal comes as Namibia recorded more than 400 suicide cases during the 2024/2025 financial year.

President appoints Kristofine Naunyango to works and transport advisory role

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has appointed Kristofine Naunyango as Advisor to the Minister of Works and Transport and Manager of the Public Asset Management Agency, an entity under the Ministry of Works and Transport.

The appointment, which takes effect on 1 January 2026, is for a 5-year term.
