The Otjozondjupa Education Directorate has recognised top-performing learners, teachers, and schools for the 2025 academic year.

 The Minister of Urban and Rural Development (MURD), James Sankwasa, has received the Best Exceptional Achievement in Southern Africa in Housing and Urban Development, 2025, from the Africa Housing Awards.

 He received the award in Abuja, Nigeria, on Friday. 

Ghanian video journalist Ernest Dele Aglunu scooped top honours in the Global South Video News Awards, held in the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi.

The inaugural awards were aimed at recognising journalists of the Global South whose work is reshaping the narrative around the south.
