The Trans Kalahari Corridor Secretariat and key stakeholders are working towards promoting compliance and increasing the visibility of law enforcement along the corridor to deter unlawful behaviours and ensure a safe transit environment for all, amongst other objectives. 

The Cross-Border Road Transport Agency's CEO, Lwazi Mboyi, says the governments of Namibia, Botswana, and South Africa have emphasised the need to work together to realise Africa's integration.

Two truck drivers died and one other was injured in a multiple truck collision on the Trans Kalahari Highway in Botswana on Friday.

The Trans Kalahari Corridor Secretariat (TKCs), says five trucks have been involved in the road crash, caused by poor visibility as a result of a veld fire.

The Ministers of Transport for Botswana, Namibia, and South Africa have inaugurated the office of the Trans Kalahari Corridor Secretariat (TKCS) in Windhoek.

This came after the three countries signed an agreement on the development and management of the Kalahari Corridor in 2003.
