President Nangolo Mbumba and National Assembly Speaker Peter Katjavivi have opened up to speak about their best friend, the late Dr. Hage Geingob.

A lively debate has formed on social media and other platforms regarding the role of current President Nangolo Mbumba and whether Namibia's fourth president is deemed substantive or not. 

President Nangolo Mbumba has assured the citizens that the government will continue to strengthen policy measures aimed at fighting corruption.

President Mbumba says this is in line with the government's clear resolve to promote accountability and transparency.

The success of Namibian radio lies in its ability to inform citizens, promote local content, and foster national unity.

This was said by President Nangolo Mbumba in a statement to commemorate World Radio Day observed on February 13, which is the anniversary of the creation of UN Radio in 1946.

In one of his first official engagements as newly sworn-in President, Dr. Nangolo Mbumba today presided over the official opening of Parliament.

For this, President Mbumba expressed a deep sense of honour in continuing a longstanding practice established since the nation's independence. 

Addressing parliamentarians during the official opening of parliament, President Nangolo Mbumba urged MPs to focus on enacting laws that would enhance economic growth, especially in key sectors such as mining, agriculture, services, and value addition to natural resources.

President Nangolo Mbumba has assured President Mokgweetsi Masisi of Botswana that sound neighbourliness will continue, just as the late President Hage Geingob would have wanted.

Mbumba received a courtesy visit from Masisi at State House on Wednesday.

President Nangolo Mbumba has vowed to serve all the people of Namibia with the utmost dedication and commitment. He undertakes to continue building on the excellent foundation established by Presidents Sam Nujoma, Hifikepunye Pohamba, and Geingob.
