Government urges UN help for Middle East peace

The government is urging the international community, particularly the United Nations, to help find an impartial diplomatic solution that would lead to lasting peace and stability in the Middle East. 

The Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Dr. Peya Mushelenga, made an appeal in a statement. 

Dr. Mushelenga said Namibia is concerned over tensions in the Middle East. His concerns came following explosions in Iran that were attributed to Israel.
