Nauyoma, Amushelelo set to formally apply for bail

Dimbulukeni Nauyoma and Michael Amushelelo, prominent social justice activists, are set to formally apply for bail before the Katutura Magistrate's Court following their recent arrest during a peaceful demonstration against the high unemployment rate in Namibia.

Nigel van Wyk bail hearing application postponed

The bail hearing application of Nigel van Wyk, one of the accused in the fishrot scandal, has been postponed to 11 April.

Van Wyk is remanded in custody until his next appearance.

Man arrested with elephant tusks granted bail

A man arrested for allegedly being in possession of two elephant tusks at the Buffalo checkpoint in the Mukwe Constituency on Friday, made his first appearance in the Rundu Magistrate’s Court on Monday.

Lihako Sishwama, 31, appeared before magistrate Selma Shiiga, who granted him bail of N$10,000.
