Namibia tackles unemployment

The Namibian government is doing all it can to address unemployment, which has become a cause for concern.

The Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources, Derek Klazen, says people are forced to live below the standard of dignity enjoyed by those who are gainfully employed.

Namibia unable to reap dividends from large education budget

A local economist, Salomo Hei, says despite education receiving the lion's share of the budget over the years, Namibia is unable to reap the dividends from this investment.

Hei was giving a presentation ahead of the national budget that will be tabled this week.

Namibia, Ethiopia to exchange intelligence information

Namibia and Ethiopia will soon be providing military training, military equipment, and the exchange of intelligence information, among other things, to each other.

This is contained in the Memorandum of Understanding on Defense Cooperation between the two countries.
