Elephants have started destroying crop fields in the Zambezi Region again, leaving residents with little hope.

The jumbos destroyed crop fields at Wuparo, Balyerwa, Dzoti and Bamunu in the Judea Lyabboloma, Linyanti and Sibbinda Constituencies.

Police investigate possible hit and run on Sangwali - Kongola road

The body of a man was found lying in a pool of blood on the Sangwali-Kongola road near Mambali Village in the Zambezi Region this morning.

Police in the Zambezi Region are suspecting a hit-and-run incident.

The deceased has been identified as 41-year-old Tobert Nyama from Nongozi Village. 

Residents of Kongola Village in the Zambezi Region left homeless

Some residents of Kongola Village in the Zambezi Region were left homeless after rain, accompanied by strong winds destroyed their homesteads.

The villagers are now concerned that the situation might worsen as the rainy season is still far from over.
