Pupkwewitz Megabuild hardware retail shop catches fire

A fire broke early this morning on the first floor of the historic one-story Pupkwewitz Megabuild hardware retail shop building constructed in 1906 at Luderitz.

Local firefighters responded to the fire and managed to put it out.

The Nest Four Star Hotel which was constructed at Luderitz 25 years ago has given the habour town a face-lift.

This is the site that was earmarked for the construction of a new harbour to accommodate larger vessels at Luderitz and is now where the state-of-the-art four-star hotel has been built.
