She made the call while officiating on behalf of the Minister of Industrialisation and Trade, Lucia Iipumbu, at the Luderitz Crayfish Festival Business Conference.

Residents of Luderitz remembered late Swapo Party liberation struggle stalwart Ida Jimmy !Ha-Eiros as a fearless and selfless fighter for Namibia's independence at a memorial service held in the town.

Jimmy-!Ha-Eiros died on April 3 at the age of 79.

Luderitz Crayfish Festival raises N$800,000

More than N$800,000 was raised at the 17th edition of the Luderitz Crayfish Festival at the fundraising dinner. 

Standard Bank Namibia pledged the highest amount of N150,000 towards the hosting of the festival. 

Flights to Luderitz resume

The Namibia Airports Company (NAC) has announced that flights to Luderitz Airport resumed on Friday.

Fly Namibia on Thursday cancelled its scheduled flights to and from the airport due to safety issues caused by unforeseen mechanical problems with the firefighting vehicle operated by the NAC.
