New Maritime Museum to preserve Namibia’s sea heritage

President Nangolo Mbumba said this when he officially inaugurated the museum at Luderitz.

The largest of its kind in Africa, the museum faces the Atlantic Ocean.

Residents of Luderitz remembered late Swapo Party liberation struggle stalwart Ida Jimmy !Ha-Eiros as a fearless and selfless fighter for Namibia's independence at a memorial service held in the town.

Jimmy-!Ha-Eiros died on April 3 at the age of 79.
