With Namibia rounding off Heritage Week last month, the National Heritage Council (NHC) has announced that it is preparing to nominate Brandberg for inclusion on the UNESCO World Heritage List. 

Namibia currently has two sites inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

There was a celebration of culture, identity and unity at Tsumkwe Primary School last week, with learners and parents commemorating Namibia's Heritage Week under the theme 'Torchbearer of Our Heritage'.

Heritage Week not only serves as a celebration of various cultural heritage but also as a reminder of shared responsibility to appreciate one another's uniqueness.

This was the message of ||Kharas Governor Aletha Frederick while addressing a heritage celebration week gathering at Keetmanshoop.

As Namibians celebrate Heritage Week, residents of Swakopmund have called on communities to embrace their differences and not use them to oppress others.
