The Namibia Housing Information System (NHIS) will enable municipalities and residents to be aware of land information in all fourteen regions of the country.

The regions are meeting for a five-day end-user refresher training and workshop programme for the deployment of the system.

This was announced by the Namibian Statistician General, Alex Shimuafeni, during the launch of the census preliminary report. 

The Census enumeration officially closes today, while the Post-Enumeration Survey will start on Monday.

Yesterday, September 24, 2023, was designated as the Reference Night for the fourth Population and Housing Census.

This means that all people who find themselves in the country on that day will subsequently be counted in relation to the household where they spent the night.
