Since Namibia's independence, the government has, through the land reform program, sought to bring about equal land distribution to correct past colonial social inequalities.

The nbc News team paid a visit to the inmate serving Namibia's longest sentence at the Evaristus Shikongo Correctional Facility outside Tsumeb.

The Namibian Police have not yet made available the incident report on the alleged assault by two of its members on the late Keetmanshoop resident Elleste Plaatjie.

Dr. Kudumo was particularly referring to police actions during demonstrations.
