The Minister of Urban and Rural Development (MURD), James Sankwasa, visited the Omaruru Municipality, where concerns surrounding governance and administration were raised.

Life was difficult for residents in the Hakahana settlement before they had access to electricity.

There has been an improvement in the livestock displayed by farmers at the ARAF Agricultural Show in 2025 compared to last year. 

This is according to the Erongo Chief Agricultural Technician, Joel Kooitjie, a judge at the agricultural show. 

Entrepreneurs hailed the ARAF trade fair at Usakos for providing a market for local products.

ARAF is a joint trade fair created by the Omaruru, Karibib and Usakos Town Councils to celebrate local entrepreneurship, micro- and small enterprises, corporates, agriculture and music.

The Mayor of Omaruru, Vincent Kahwa, has reaffirmed the town's commitment to developing the OlympAfrica Sports Centre into a regional hub for sport.
