Many areas nbc News visited in southern Kunene have complaints of lack of sanitation, water, and electrification.
However, the story in Kamanjab is different.
The office is busy constructing the sewage lines, while water and electricity have been provided for the residents.
Constituency councilor Nico Somaeb prides himself on the development taking place in the village.
He says they currently have six projects running that include the provision of sewage lines and housing.
"We are the fast-growing village; that is why we don't want to call ourselves a village; we are supposed to be a town. We are proving to the nation that we are ready to be upgraded to a town level. As you have witnessed, Kamanjab is very busy in terms of infrastructure development. Currently we are running six projects with the assistance of my office. As you have witnessed, we are busy with the electrification and sewage, as well as social housing, and building together programs."
While expressing readiness to vote, some residents are concerned about the unemployment rate within their community.
While trying to come up with initiatives to make a living, they are not allowed in certain areas where they sell handmade items to the tourists.
