Walvis Bay is battling to maintain its roads and the high volume of international traffic, including trucks, transporting goods increases on the harbor town's roads.

This was highlighted by the town's Mayor, Trevino Forbes, during Council's first ordinary meeting.

The Minister of Works and Transport, John Mutorwa, has expressed disappointment with the maintenance of roads in the Omaheke Region.

Mutorwa said this when he visited the Onderombapa-Aminuis-Aranos road to assess the progress made.

Residents of Epembe in the Ohangwena Region staged a demonstration, demanding better services such as an improved road network in their constituency.
