CRAN commends nbc and Multichoice Namibia on Mukorob Film Project

The Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN) has congratulated the nbc and MultiChoice Namibia for successfully producing and launching thirteen locally produced films.

The two broadcasters recently launched the Mukorob Film Project.

The regulatory body said the nbc and Multichoice Namibia completed the project in compliance with the local content quota obligations imposed by CRAN.

CRAN further said the collaborative initiative supports the Namibian film industry and offers global exposure to domestically crafted feature films.

Film industry welcomes Mukorob

Veteran film industry players say the launch of the nbc-Multi-Choice Namibia Mukorob Project last week is the right step towards growing the industry, which has been moving at a snail's pace.

Thirteen local films were produced under the project. The films can now be accessed by millions of viewers on a continental platform, telling Namibian stories, culture, language, and landscape. The nbc News caught up with veteran Namibian filmmaker Vickson Hangula in Okahandja.

Mukorob project brings script expert to Namibia

The nbc/multichoice Mukorob project, which is in the process of producing thirteen Namibian stories, brought in a script expert from South Africa to fine-tune their stories.

The art of filmmaking has many phases before delivering a final product that the audience can enjoy.

One of the most important aspects is a well-developed script with an incredible storyline.

Neil McCarthy, a screenwriter, story consultant, and writing mentor, has worked as a head writer on popular South African TV series such as Isidingo and Rhythm City.
