Labour Ministry collects N$2,5 million from labour disputes

The Ministry of Labour, Industrial Relations and Employment Creation has collected about N$2.5 million from labour disputes on behalf of complainants, during the 2021 - 2022 financial year.

Minister Utoni Nujoma revealed this when he addressed his staff.

He says the money was been paid to the complainants.

In his address, Nujoma also spoke about the challenges Namibia faced during the past years.

Labour ministry doing all it can to resolve labour disputes at B2Gold Namibia

Labour, Industrial Relations and Employment Creation Minister Utoni Nujoma say his Ministry is doing all it can to resolve a labour dispute at the B2Gold Namibia mine.

Delivering a ministerial statement in the National Assembly on Tuesday, Nujoma stressed that tripartite talks between the Ministry, the Mineworkers' Union (MUN) and the workers have already been held and more negotiations will continue to find a lasting solution to the impasse.
