Namibian Statistics Agency (NSA) Statistician General Alex Shimuafeni is confident that the 2023 Population and Housing Census will be less prone to errors than ever.
Shimwafeni says the NSA will deploy a digital enumeration system for the first time this year.
About N$706 million has been allocated to the 2023 Population and Housing Census, scheduled to take place this year.
This information was disclosed during a presentation of the 2023 Population and Housing Census update to stakeholders, including members of the diplomatic corps and development partners.
Progress seems to have been made towards the conducting of the 2023 Population and Housing Census, which is a national project.

The Namibia Statistics Agency (NSA) expects to employ over 13,000 people around the country during the period of the 2023 Population and Housing Census slated for August this year.
This was revealed by Abel Sindano, the Executive for Economic Statistics at the NSA.
The Namibia Statistics Agency and the Ministry of Urban and Rural Development have launched the pilot Namibian Housing Information System.
The aim of the system is to make housing and land data readily available in the country.
