4th MTC Knockout Project dedicated to the Brave Warriors

The 4th edition of the MTC Knockout Project was launched on Monday at "The Barn" in Windhoek, with a special dedication to the Brave Warriors.

This year, the initiative aims to "Celebrate Perseverance" as the Brave Warriors overcame challenging circumstances to qualify for the 2024 African Cup of Nations.

Despite playing many of their home games away from home, the Brave Warriors have demonstrated remarkable mental resilience and perseverance, defying the odds to secure their spot in next year's tournament in Ivory Coast.

MTC TO HOST FUN RUN THIS MONTH

MTC to hosts its first-ever fun run on October 28th. This incredible event will be held at the HopSol youth league soccer field in Jan Mohr, Dorado Park.

The primary goal of the MTC Fun Run is to prioritize the well-being and health of MTC employees. However, John Ekongo, the Corporate Affairs Manager at MTC, wants to make it clear that this event is not exclusive to MTC employees. It is open to all members of the public who are looking for a fun and active experience.

MTC hosts welcoming lunch National Hockey teams

As a token of appreciation for their recent performance at the FIH Indoor Hockey World Cup in Pretoria, MTC hosted a welcoming lunch in celebration of the men and women teams.

MTC hosted a welcoming lunch for the National men and women's hockey teams after they returned from the FIH Indoor Hockey World Cup, which took place in Pretoria, South Africa.

MTC Corporate Communication Specialist John Ekongo opened the event with a vote of thanks to the teams.

MTC Salute Boxing academy schedules bonanza for November

The MTC Salute Boxing Academy  will be hosting a boxing bonanza at the Safari Court and Hotel in Windhoek on the 12th of November. 

The night will see the MTC Salute Boxing Academy's own product Immanuel Josef defending his WBO Africa flyweight title over 12 rounds against South African boxer Tisetso Madisadife.

According to Josef, he does not know much about his opponent yet and will therefore let his punches do the talking.

Over 2 million MTC sim cards active with only 250 000 registered

More than two million MTC sim cards are active, but only 250 thousand have been registered under MTC's voluntary sim card registration process.

Manager of Corporate Affairs at MTC, John Ekongo, says the voluntary registration process, which started in July, is moving at an average pace.

Namibia is one of two African countries that has not fully implemented SIM registration, while more than 157 countries around the world have already done so.
