Children in Otjiwarongo spent their Christmas at Theo's Spar for a kiddies Christmas party.

Each December, the owner of the Spar supermarket in Otjiwarongo, Theo Borstlap, invites the children of staff members to a Christmas party.

Sweets and biscuits are part of the goodies they receive, and a big piece of cake goes to the parents as well.

The children ate and even received more goodies to take home.

About 140 children showed up for the spar Christmas party.

Two minor children, who are siblings aged 3 and 4, were burned beyond recognition in the early hours of this morning while they were sleeping in their traditional hut at Otjimanangombe village in Ruacana Constituency, Omusati Region.

It is alleged that, at the time of the incident, four children were asleep in the traditional hut, which caught fire and burned to ashes.
