Works and Transport Minister Veikko Nekundi has ordered road contractor John Namushehe CC to pay its employees their full salary by the end of this month.

This order follows a lengthy, late-night meeting between the minister, the Roads Authority, labour inspectors, and aggrieved employees.

Minister of Works and Transport Veikko Nekundi has appointed a Board of Directors to serve at the Roads Authority for the next six months.

The Executive Head of the Engineering Council of Namibia (ECN), Charles Mukwaso, has confirmed the relief from duty of the Council members following a directive from the Minister of Works and Transport, Veikko Nekundi, dated 26 June.
