King Philippe arrives in Walvis Bay

The King of the Belgians landed at Walvis Bay International Airport as he continues his visit to Namibia.

When the Airbus A330-400 commercial aeroplane landed, officials say it was the largest aeroplane the Walvis Bay International Airport has ever received in two decades.

Old export processing zones transformed into special economic zones

Namibia is currently transforming the old export processing zones (EPZs) into special economic zones (SEZs).

The EPZs were unsuccessful in collecting the requisite taxes for the Treasury, and they also contributed to Namibia being blacklisted as a tax haven.

Karibib economic growth and development

The Chairperson of the Karibib Town Council, Lazarus Kanelombe, shared the town's journey of economic growth and development before and after independence.

Karibib is located on the main road between the capital city of Windhoek and the coastal town of Swakopmund, about 100km west of Okahandja. 

Man survives gruesome attack at Walvis Bay

A 28-year-old man survived a gruesome attack early last Sunday morning.

It is believed that an unknown assailant attacked the man with a sharp object, believed to be either a knife or a broken bottle, in the early hours of Sunday at the Tutaleni residential in Walvis Bay.
