Khomas Regional Council donates textbooks to schools, aims to reduce learner-to-textbook ratio

In its quest to reduce the ratio of four learners per textbook, the |Khomas Regional Council donated textbooks to primary and secondary schools in the Khomas Region.

The donation, with a value of N$2 million, aims to eradicate textbook shortages in schools.

To enrich the education sector, a total of 13,628 textbooks are donated to 84 schools in the |Khomas Region.

Textbooks include mathematics, English, geography, social studies, and history.

More than 1,400 learners in the Khomas Region still need to find a placement now that schools have reopened.

Regional Director of Education, Arts, and Culture Paulus Nghikembua is adamant all learners will find a space in schools.
