The Namibian Organic Association (NOA) is currently conducting training workshops throughout the north-central regions to introduce rural communities to cost-effective, practical organic farming and reduce its harmful effects.

The objective of the workshops is to empower rural communities, create awareness about sustainable agricultural techniques, and foster alternative farming practises to produce healthy food and generate income.

The association also highlighted the benefits for the farmers, which include certification of their products as organic before reaching the market.

The workshop, which was held at Omege Village in the Oshana Region, attracted young and old, who expressed appreciation for an initiative they call a game changer that has equipped them with knowledge and tools to farm in an environmentally friendly way.

This initiative is a significant step towards promoting sustainable farming practises, reducing harmful effects on the environment, and promoting healthy living.

This was the first time that the association has visited the regions, and the aim is to cover all 14 of the country's regions.
