Young people at Grootfontein took advantage of the Otjiwanda SME and Youth Expo, not only showing up in great numbers but also showcasing their creativity and sense of business.
The 9th Otjiwanda SME and Youth Expo left organisers amazed as over 30 young people showed up eager to showcase their creations in business.
The expo kicked off on Wednesday with great support from local residents, who visited stalls and supported the youth.
Deputy Chairperson of the Otjiwanda Youth Expo, Angel Shetukana, says the determination of the youth of Grootfontein to fight unemployment was demonstrated in the number of exhibitors at the Expo.
"We are so thrilled to see so many bright and passionate young minds gathered here, ready to engage, innovate, and inspire one another. The youth expo is a unique platform that brings together young people from diverse backgrounds, each with their own ideas, talent, and dreams."
Speaking on behalf of the exhibitors, Nicole Murorua says they will embrace every opportunity presented to them to showcase their products while networking with other entrepreneurs.
"As most of the youth are unemployed, we wholeheartedly embrace and dedicate our time to a fruitful endeavour. We urge our leaders to invest in us, the youth, as future leaders of this country."
Stalls exhibited at the Otjiwanda SME Youth Expo included corporates, children, craft, and food stalls.
