The 9th edition of the State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) games in Oshakati concluded with various teams showcasing their athletic skills and teamwork across different sports disciplines.

From Darts to Volleyball, Soccer, Netball, Tug of War, and Relay Races, the event brought together employees and executives from state-owned enterprises to compete and foster sportsmanship and camaraderie.

In the Darts competition, Agribank clinched the gold medal, followed by Roads Authority in silver and NamWater in bronze. Nampower emerged victorious in Volleyball, with Roads Authority securing silver and Namibia Airport Company taking home the bronze.

In Soccer, August 26 claimed the top spot, followed by NamRa in second place and NCAA in third. Namra emerged as the champions in netball, with Namcol in second place and NFCPT in third.

The Tug of War saw Namwater, NamRa, and NAC securing the top three positions respectively. NIP, AMTA, and Nampower stood out in the pool table competition.

In the relay races, NAC and NTA led the way in the male and female categories, showcasing their speed and coordination on the track.

The event was attended by Agnes Tjongarero, Minister of Sport, Youth, and National Service, who highlighted the importance of the games in promoting interaction, competition, and unity among state-owned enterprises. SB: Agnes & Fluksman

This year's host and sponsors of the games were Road Fund Administration and Namwater.

The games not only promoted unity among state-owned enterprises but also provided an economic boost to Oshakati.
