President Dr. Nangolo Mbumba says platforms such as the Ehao Cultural Expo, which kicked off in Okahao on the 21st of July, play an instrumental role as social threads that bring the communities together.

President Nangolo Mbumba called on visitors to the 3rd Annual Ehao Cultural Expo to support local businesses at the expo and to use the opportunity to learn about various cultural norms and values as well as ancient traditional cuisines on offer.

"Furthermore, the Expo acts as a marketing tool for the town highlighting its unique features to a wider audience and attracting investment opportunities, showing that Okahao is an exciting place for business and development. In other words, the Ehao Cultural Expo is more than just a cultural celebration. It is a platform for innovation, a catalyst for economic growth, and a foundation for unifying citizens."

Dr. Mbumba also called on those who have no means of survival and did not receive drought relief aid to make sure that they report to the Prime Minister's office so that the necessary action can be taken.

"Similarly, the Expo finds us amid widespread drought, which has ravaged the agricultural capacity and sustenance of many of our farmers throughout the country. The government is doing all that it can to save Namibians and their livelihoods through drought assistance interventions and the provision of emergency food. I hope that this assistance has reached all eligible beneficiaries; if not, please report to the offices of the governors in the regions where you are as well as the Office of the Prime Minister so that people who are in real need can be assisted timely."
