Rundu Mayor Gabriel Kanyanga envisions the second most populated town in Namibia as a thriving hub for entrepreneurship and investment. Kanyanga expressed this vision during the second Mayoral Business Forum, which is typically held ahead of the Rundu Annual Trade Fair in October.

The mayoral business forum brings together various businesses and stakeholders to foster strong bonds and explore opportunities for growth and partnership in Rundu.

"My vision for Rundu is for our town to become a hub for entrepreneurship and investment. I also hope that Rundu will be a place where businesses thrive, jobs are created, and communication flourishes. Achieving this vision requires your active participation and support. I hope that together we can contribute to the prosperity of Rundu town."

During a presentation on the investment opportunities available in Rundu, the town's CEO, Olavi Nathanael, highlighted infrastructure, agriculture, manufacturing, tourism, and property development as some of the options.

"Our location gives businesses an advantage in terms of progress. We invite you to explore the town's vital potential, because the town cannot grow if the economy remains stagnant. Let us all be part of this journey as we move forward."

A gala dinner to raise funds for the Rundu Annual Trade Fair is scheduled for the 28th of this month.
