The National Youth Council's (NYC) ||Kharas Regional Coordinator, Emma Abed, is calling on youth groups in the regions to register their organisations and renew their affiliation with the national youth body in preparation for upcoming constituency youth elective conferences. 

The renewal of mandates by youth organisations includes the convening of constituency youth conferences in all constituencies where young people between the ages of 16 and 36 will elect representatives for their respective youth forums. 

The national restructuring committee is tasked with the restructuring process and elections of members of the youth forums as well as of the regional executive committees.

"The National Youth Council is going to have their restructuring in the ||Kharas Region and it will take place from the 19th of November to the 24th of November, and we are currently busy with the registration that is online and also manual, and it will run two days before the elections, and we are inviting all the faith-based groups, all the social groups, all the sports groups—all these youths are invited to come and take part of this restructuring."

The ||Kharas Region has seven constituency youth forums, which form part of the 121 youth forums countrywide.
