Only 29 votes were cast on Friday, the first day of extension at the Omboto polling station in Nehale Lyampingana constituency.
The constituency is largely only accessible by 4x4 vehicles and has not seen much activity today.
Oshikoto electoral officer Ester Hipangelwa says the process is still ongoing, as she called on Namibians who have not yet voted to make their way to the polling station.
"Also take note that voting is ongoing currently at Nehale Lyampingana until 21, and once polls close, the team will commence with the counting and proceed to the collation centre. So just be informed that we are still waiting for the residents of Nehale Lyampingana to come out in numbers to come and cast their votes. Please come in numbers; we are expecting you at Nehale Lyampingana constituency.
People to whom our news team spoke at the polling station said they were pleased that voting was extended, though some noted the difficulty of navigating the secluded terrain for the purpose.
Hipangwelwa stated that results from all 10 constituencies, except Nehale Lyampingana, are currently being audited at the region's collation centre.
"They are being audited and verified as we speak; some have successfully been concluded and some are still pending. The nation will be informed as to which ones have gone through after being audited."
The entire process is expected to be concluded by late this evening.
