Over the past few weeks, these towns have been bustling with excitement, offering a wide range of activities for families and individuals, from beach outings, dunes, and water spots to exploring the unique local culture.

As the holidaymakers now pack their bags and hit the road, nbc News spoke to community liaison officer, Chief Inspector Ileni Shapumba, who shared some insights on how the festive season has been for law enforcement in the Erongo Region.

The coastal towns of Swakopmund, Henties Bay, and Walvis Bay have suddenly become silent after hosting a successful festive season that many are keen to repeat in the future.
