The National African Student Association (NASA) is calling for improvement in the quality of education.
This comes after NASA's assessment on the recent developments in the Namibian education landscape.
NASA shared this during a media briefing at Rundu.
The recent announcement of grade 11 and AS level results revealed that 28,700 learners failed to qualify for university entrance, with less than 40 percent proceeding to AS level.
According to NASA's President Muzani Muzani, the alarming outcomes point to systemic challenges, including inadequate teaching and learning resources.
Muzani acknowledged the efforts made by the education ministry in infrastructure development and provision of essential learning material and stationery.
However the student association calls for inclusive and a well-resourced education system.
NASA also advised that learners be encouraged to choose courses that align with their interests and skills.
To assist with career guidance, NASA is ready to visit schools and educate learners on career selection.
At the moment the student body is busy assisting students to apply for the Namibia Student Financial Assistance Fund at Rundu.
