The Minister of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sport, Arts and Culture, Sanet Steenkamp, extended well wishes and encouragement to learners sitting for exams that started on the 12th of October.

Dr Steenkamp recognises that the period carries great expectations, with months of preparation, learning, revising, and overcoming challenges.

With moments of uncertainty, anxiety, and self-doubt. She reminded the students that their efforts matter and they should approach the examinations with confidence, determination, and a calm mind.

She urged the learners to trust their preparation, take each examination one question at a time, and give every paper their best effort without allowing fear or the performance of others to distract them from what they have prepared to do.

Dr Steenkamp further reminded the students that, despite the importance of the examination, they do not define the entirety of who they are or everything they may become.

The ministry remains committed to strengthening the quality of education and creating opportunities for every learner to realise their potential.

She added that lasting achievement is built through consistent effort, perseverance, integrity and a willingness to keep learning.
