Swakopmund residents, who concluded the National Heritage Week with a cultural show, have appealed to the organisers for events that promote cultural norms.
The Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture and the Erongo Regional Council held a cultural day where traditional groups from all 14 regions were represented.
The groups showcased their traditional dances and explained the various methods of cooking their food and their way of life.
Namibian Heritage Week originated with the idea of an annual Museum Day, but this was extended to a week-long celebration across the country.
The week encourages all Namibians to celebrate their culture and commit to protecting their natural and cultural resources.
