The City of Windhoek has announced that it will hold the Municipal Council's elections on 1 December.

Positions of office bearers, including the Mayor and members of the Management Committee, will be for the year 2023.

The city is led by a coalition council,  with LPM Councillor, Sade Gawa!nas as mayor and AR Councillor Ilse Keister as the chairperson of the Management Committee.

 The council will elect new leadership at 14h30 in the Council Chamber on Friday.
