Rising global tensions and oil prices have pushed Southern African Customs Union (SACU) leaders to rethink the future of the world's oldest customs union. 

The just-concluded 9th Southern African Customs Union (SACU) Summit considered, adopted, approved and directed the implementation of several key initiatives aimed at advancing the development of member states. 

As Botswana prepares to assume the chairmanship of the Southern African Customs Union (SACU) on 15 July, President Duma Boko has reaffirmed his country's commitment to strengthening regional integration.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah joined other Heads of State at the Cape Town International Convention Centre for the 9th Summit of the Southern African Customs Union (SACU). 

The Executive Secretary of the Southern African Customs Union (SACU), Dumisani Masilela, underlined the commitment of all member states to utilise the union as a platform for driving development and economic growth.
