Ngweze Primary School, located in the Zambezi Region, has recognised the achievements of learners and teachers in the previous academic year.

Namibia's higher education sector has gained continental recognition after the University of Namibia (UNAM) secured 31st place in the first-ever Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The ||Kharas Regional Directorate has awarded the best top Namibia Senior Secondary Certificate Ordinary Level performers and best-performing teachers at the ||Kharas regional prize-giving ceremony held in Keetmanshoop. 

Epukiro Secondary School in the Omaheke Region has recorded an impressive academic achievement after securing fourth place nationally in the Namibia Senior Secondary Certificate Advanced Subsidiary (NSSCAS) Level results.

Over 3,800 students have graduated from the University of Namibia (UNAM) across its combined campuses this year. Graduation ceremonies are scheduled to take place over the next two days in the capital.

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Namibia (UNAM), Kenneth Matengu, has appealed to the government for increased academic research funding to boost innovation, enhance academic excellence and support national development. 

Best-performing Grade 8 and 11 learners at Windhoek's Highline Secondary School have benefited from scholarships from the Chinese Embassy.

The scholarship was handed over during the school's annual prize-giving ceremony awarded to top achievers.

The Namibia College of Open Learning (NAMCOL) overall top performer award for 2024 was scooped by Oshana Region's Alfeus Nakanyala.

Nakanyala scored three straight A's in three subjects, which include mathematics. 

The Omaheke Education Directorate emphasised that the future success of education relies on collective efforts from all stakeholders.

Director Constance Wantenaar made the remarks at a regional prize-giving ceremony in Gobabis.  

The Hano Youth Foundation organised a one-day workshop in Windhoek aimed at motivating local youth to excel in academic work and instilling in them skills to grab opportunities.
