The Speaker of Zimbabwe's National Assembly, Advocate Jacob Mudenda, has acknowledged the contributions of his Namibian counterpart during a valedictory ceremony held at the 56th Plenary Assembly of the Southern African Development Community Parliamentary Forum (SADC-PF) in Livingstone, Zambia.

Speaker of the National Assembly, Professor Peter Katjavivi, who is leading the Namibian delegation to the 55th SADC PF Plenary Assembly in Luanda, Angola, says the newly launched SADC PF Strategic Plan for 2024-2028 aligns with the region's ideals to transform the forum into a regional parliament.

The Namibian Parliament has commended the government for signing the agreement to amend the SADC Treaty to transform the SADC Parliamentary Forum into the SADC Parliament.
