Ohangwena Governor Kadiva Hamutumwa has handed over a new house to an elderly woman with a disability at Oshandi Village.

Parliament is set to host the memorial service of the late member of parliament and former Otjozondjupa Regional Governor, James Uerikua, with proceedings expected to begin shortly at Parliament Gardens in Windhoek.

The Okakarara community, led by local pastors, erected a white cross at the spot where former Otjozondjupa Governor James Uerikua lost his life in a car accident earlier this month.

Former Wato FM Regional Manager Kosmas Muyenga described his time at the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) as inspiring, fulfilling, progressive and, to an extent, emotional. 

Muyenga retired last month after 39 years of service.
