China pledges N$50.7 billion for Africa's mega-projects

China has pledged to avail more than N$50.7 billion to finance mega-projects in Africa over the next three years.

This is part of the ten partnership actions unveiled by the Chinese government to scale up and deepen cooperation between the continent and China.

Quintina Tjizumaue scooped the Miss Non-Governmental Organisation title at a glittery event in the capital. 

Romancia Seibes came out as the first runner-up, followed by Celither Baldwin.

Tjizumaue, in her new role, will serve as the ambassador of all local NGOs and civil society organisations.

Road safety campaign launched in Windhoek

Former teacher walks 10,880 km across Africa

A former American teacher, Brian Stupek, has taken it upon himself to embark on a 10,880-kilometre walk across the African continent to spread awareness about sound mental health. 

Stupek's initiative Walking Africa started in Cape Town on 26 June 2024 and is expected to end in Tunisia, northern Africa.
