The 22nd Annual Conference of the Association of Parliamentary Libraries of Eastern and Southern Africa (APLESA) began in Swakopmund.
This year's event is being held under the theme Parliamentary Libraries and Democracy in the Digital Age.

Having met the late Sam Nujoma at a young age, now Prime Minister Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila paid her tribute, highlighting his unrelenting opposition to colonialism.
She says Nujoma's achievements have inspired her to cherish freedom and remain committed to true sovereignty.
The Prime Minister has urged Namibians to strive for better services in the country in honour of the late Founding President Sam Nujoma, who persisted and succeeded in securing freedom for the country.
